New four-section floating breakwater pontoon installed (May 2010) at the Royal St George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire.

Each of the four unsinkable pontoon sections has a styrofoam core encased in reinforced concrete. Thirty tonnes of heavy steel chain and twenty-four five-tonne anchorblocks buried in the mud in the harbour seabed are used to anchor the pontoon. It has been designed to endure storms, floods and hurricanes.
